david LaChapelle x maybach.
Not too long ago, i posted an entry about Maybach's limited edition Zeppellin. Who did Maybach hire to work on their high-budget campaign? None other than world famous photographer (and one of my personal faves), David LaChapelle.
Maybach's artistic vision teamed up with LaChapelle's is entitled "Exposure of Luxury." With hopes to re-invent the look of the Maybach brand, Maybach decided to use the unusual style of LaChapelle who chose to use style icon Daphe Guiness as the leading model. LaChapelle's aim was to incorporate two motifs, one of the past and one of the present. He used two similar sets, one using the new Maybach Zeppellin and the other using the 1930 Maybach Zeppellin.

Contemporary art mixed with extravagant contemporary automobiles = a beautiful collaboration.

Banksy unmasked: Elusive street artist to appear on film for the first time... but will he reveal his true identity?
He has remained anonymous and elusive while becoming one of the most famous artists in the world.
And now graffiti artist Banksy has pulled off a movie project which shows him on film and speaking for the first time - but critics are divided on whether it gives any further clues to the man behind the stencils.
The street artist, who has never confirmed his identity, will premiere his film Exit Through The Gift Shop at the Sundance Film Festival on Sunday.
Narrated by British actor Rhys Ifans and billed as 'the world's first street art disaster movie', its inclusion in the festival has been shrouded in secrecy.
It was left off the official programme and instead will be the festival's Spotlight Surprise.
There has been speculation that the artist will finally reveal himself in the film as it is said to feature exclusive footage of him at work along with many of the world's most famous graffiti artists.
But Banksy, who is known for teasing his audience and staging unexpected stunts, is more likely to create more questions than he answers.
He once told an interviewer: 'I have no interest in ever coming out. I figure there are enough self-opinionated a**holes trying to get their ugly little faces in front of you as it is.

hello twenty-ten.
i don't know why, but today feels a lot more futuristic than yesterday. does anyone feel the same?
2009 has been quite a year.
thanks to my good friend yumna for the idea, here is a mini photo journal of my year, 4 pictures from every month. i'll let the pictures do the talking ;]. i, too, spent my day looking through pictures from the last year, i love being able to remember my life through visuals i have taken.
