there is something oddly appealing about these pieces. i think the mysterious yet vibrant bronze texture makes them somewhat of an oxymoron. so visually pleasing.

wow wow wow. i dont even have many words to explain how phenomenal this project is.




producer The Apple Juice Kid, has compiled a free 22 song cover album of some of the most classic hip hop tunes that we all love, from A Tribe Called Quest and ODB to Outkast and Jay-Z (just to name a few). AJK has put together an experimental band entitled The Remix Project, who make cover songs based on instrumentals such as percussion, bass, keys, guitar samples & some cutting. When i began listening to this album, i was immediately hooked. I was thrilled when i clicked the link (here) for download because not only was available at high quality bitrate and already compiled in a zip, but it also has a full tracklisting and individual song download option. props to The Apple Juice Kid, i really hope these free projects keep on coming!

if you are an avid hip hop listener, DO NOT MISS OUT ON THIS FREE ALBUM! It is truly a gem.

an interesting concept by Yu-Chia Wan. sun tattoo is a soft stencil which can be used for making the tattoo pattern on the skin by sunshine. it's better to use it with sunless tanning cream.

the genius, Madlib, has assembled (yet again) a 40 minute jazz wonder mix that is guaranteed to have you begging for more. Madlib keeps it real by producing and releasing new music based on the origins of jazz, electro & funk. This suite is a single track consisting of four major sections and several different themes. The title "The Last Electro-Acoustic Space Jazz & Percussion Ensemble" is a self fitting description.

"In 1960, while a construction crew dismantled a row of brownstones right across from my own brownstone studio on East 58th Street, I was inspired to, somehow immortalize those buildings. I had the vision of 43 women in formal dress adorning the windows of the skeletal facade.

We had to work quickly to secure City permissions, arrange for models which included celebrities, the demolition supervisior's wife (third floor, third from left), my own wife (second floor, far right), and also secure the Rolls Royce to be parked on the sidewalk. Careful planning was a necessity as the photography had to be accomplished during the workers' lunch time!

The day before the buildings were razed, the 43 women appeared in their finest attire, went into the buildings, climbed the old stairs, and took their places in the windows. I was set up on my fire escape across the streeet, directing the scene, with bullhorn in hand. Of course I was concerned for the Models' safety, as some were daring enough to pose out on the crumbling sills." - ormond gigli

Ferrari 458 Italia.

The Ferrari 458 Italia will be unveiled this September at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Replacing the outgoing Ferrari F430, the 458 Italia represents Ferrari’s latest engineering conquest. The relatively lightweight aluminum chassis results in a 3,042 lbs dry weight with performance numbers suggesting 0-62 mph sprints of 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 202 mph.The 458 Italia is the first Ferrari V8 to break the 200 mph mark. Oooh, pretty intense.
