"Enjoy is part of an installation series created to expose audiences to a particular idea through the power of typography and demonstrate how it could communicate and represent outside of the usual screen and print based forms.In this case the idea was to bring the attention and create awareness to the damages of drinking soda, or “enjoying soda”.

The piece was created using a word normally associated and related to the brand being criticized and to a good feeling. However, the piece was created using over 18,000 nails spelling the word “enjoy”, rusted using soda. I decided to use nails to counter act against the positive feeling of the word “enjoy” and rusted them with soda to show the damages of drinking it."

Shinichi Maruyama smashes black India ink into water and photographs the collision of these substances, to the millisecond. He is capable of capturing this occurrence at a 7,500th of a second.

Maruyama's art form represents the form of shodo (japanese calligraphy). His execution differs by it being the air as opposed to using paper.

An experimental video by David Coiffer, who is testing his new camera. You’re able to see objects in slow motion. I love how the jelly has a flubber effect when it hits the ground, and the green toy... oh man, it makes me feel funny (in a really giggly way).

Technical details: Based on a photron SA-2 camera, system is providing realtime HD-SDI output. Sensor is a 12bit CMOS of 2048 pixels wide, and speed can vary up to 2500fps.
