the american dream team.
i always love adding cool music artists on myspace to my music page! i always come across so many great artists that i dont know about. after going on an adding spree, i recieved the following picture in a comment from the american dream team.
it bothered me, because was screwing up my comment html! but then i took a look at the flyer, and saw a mix of some crazy stuff together. after listenig to the first minute of the mix, i was already drawn in by the incredible scratching to electro...im still listening to the mix, and im loving it.
what dreams are made of V2.0- the american dream team (zshare)
the american dream team myspace.
i was confused at first, is this a group of djs, it this one guy... whats the deal?
and then i read this:
"This new 'American Dream', the dream of a nation of people, born to rock, born to beat drop. A land of hip hop, house music non-stop, electro bebop, dance till the floor drops, till the neighbors knock, till the panties sop, and skill decides who's on top. Where street corner poets scream they can't take it, cause where mad as hell and we don't give a fuck, cause from this moment on no more wars, no more gas powered merchants of mayhem, just laptops & turntable architects of sex."
.....
"Here at White House Headquarters we have been scouring what's left of this country to build a production team of skilled musicians to represent the new "American Dream". Covering every angle from party rocking to top notch club banging production, this group of undeniable American youths are hear to wave our great American flag with a fuck you lets dance mind set. For the land of the free and the home of the brave this blinged out team is here to ignite the females and dance floors across this great nation."
WOW. dope!!
AND,
i just got home from spinning a really crazy set. i had an absolute blast, as i was able to play a lot of the music i LOVE spinning! i couldve gone all night. shout out to all the guys from heater/massive who rock out every friday! im sad the night is over, but im really reallyy sad i forgot to play this track, its absolutely one of my fave songs to wiggle to.

roadsworth
busted in ‘04 and charged with 53 counts of mischief, Roadsworth was facing tens of thousands of dollars in fines, but was given a lenient sentence due in large part to the public outcry that met the announcement of the charges against him. No longer an anonymous nocturnal (graffiti) emitter, Roadsworth is now commissioned to do legal public works and is also the subject of a new documentary, “Roadsworth: Crossing the Line” which will be screening at various locations this fall
here is the trailer for his documentary

diplo dump.
some new heat from diplo!
inna de ghetto- diplo & buraka som sistema (zshare)
the following track is pretty interesting. radiohead is letting producers buy all of the tracks components to remix and submit for a contest, here is diplo's creation.
reckoner (diplo remix) - radiohead (zshare)
green light (john legend and andre 3000) has been running around the internet like a hype whore, and to be honest.. i havent enjoyed any of the remixes. i feel like they are all a bit too harsh for my ears, but this diplo remix is just right. this is the first remix of this track that i've downloaded, and of course.. he adds his trademark baile funk noises to this track.
green light ft. andre 3000 (diplo remix) - john legend (zshare)
i love his booty shaking bass bumpin' baile funkin' beats.
sunshowers (diplo remix) - M.I.A (zshare)
my lumps (diplo baile funk remix) - black eyed peas (zshare)
peace & love.

90's memory #6.
when i first started this blog, i wanted to have a weekly 90's entry.
unfortunately, ive been so caught up with other things i've wanted to write about that i've neglected one of the best topics on here!
im bringin' it back.
1. legends of the hidden temple
who didn't love this show?
the barracuda's were always my favorite team.
2. pogs
these were all the rage in elementary school for me.
i remember having HUGE slammers! you know, the triple stacked metal ones with cool hologram stickers.
i think so many people collected pogs and never even played them. between my brother and i, we had tubes and tubes of these things.
did you know that pogs were originated in hawaii?
it was a sad day when i said bye to my pog collection.
3. the macarena
did i really just say it? yessir.
dont act like you dont remember exactly how to do the dance!
4. music time.... I LIKE BIG BUTTS AND I CANNOT LIE.
you know what im talkin' about!
baby got back- sir mix alot (zshare)
if im posting that track, i have to post this one....
da dip- freak nasty (zshare)
.. i put my hand up on your hip, when i dip you dip we dip. damn, its gonna be stuck in my head all night.
maybe i should play it when im spinning tonight? y/n?
peace & love.

now i know why i deleted facebook..
have you ever felt like big brother is watching?
well facebook sure is!!
recently, i deleted my facebook because i got sick and tired of how overwhelming that social network is. as soon as it went public, all hell broke loose. its insane that everything about an individual can be tracked via facebook. it really is a human database, and i refuse to take part in it anymore. on top of that, lets not start with all the stalker-like minifeed and facebook chat nonsense, not to mention all the pathetic drama that goes on because of it.
so yea, i deleted my page, and ive felt wonderful without it. im gonna stop relying on technology to keep in touch with people, esepcially technology that is monitored. how did we have keep in touch with friends/family 10 years ago? PICK UP THE PHONE! it seems that in this day and age, its a very difficult task.
anyway, i came to the conclusion that because i had so many facebook friends, that it really is a great way to promote all the parties i do and the blogging. so, with that said... i just decided to make a very simple facebook page with only 1 picture of me and just a link to my website, nonsense free. im only going to log in here and there just to send out invites for the parties.
i began to add a few friends, and a stupid captcha kept coming up every time i requested someone (what is this, myspace?) and then i read the following
you have to be bloody kidding me, my phone number? ha!
i'll just have to deal with solving captchas, because i refuse to give my phone number to facebook for "verification" reasons.
to all those that see facebook as a harmless social network, reconsider your thoughts and remember, ITS PUBLIC!!!
peace & love.

dj am and travis barker involved in plane crash.

DJ AM and former Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker were critically injured after a Learjet crashed while taking off from Columbia Metropolitan in Columbia, SC. Four people—two passengers and two crew members—were killed in the crash.
Both were departing after performing at the T-Mobile Boulevard event in Five Points earlier in the day. Barker had performed Friday night at an event alongside Perry Farrell, the former Jane’s Addiction singer, as well as Gavin DeGraw and DJ AM.
Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen said the plane carrying six people was departing shortly before midnight Friday from Columbia when air traffic controllers reporting seeing sparks. She said the plane went off the runway and crashed on a nearby road.
Hospital spokeswoman Beth Frits says Barker and DJ AM, whose real name is Adam Goldstein, were at a burn center in Augusta, GA.
TMZ filed the following report: TMZ has learned Travis Barker has been burned from the waist down, but he is expected to survive the plane crash. DJ AM’s face was severely burned and is being tended to right now.
please pray for both of them. i personally know Adam, this is an absolute shock to me. they are the only 2 that survived and are both in critical condition. my heart goes out to those that lost their lives, the pilot, copilot, travis' bodyguard/friend and also travis's assistant.
peace & love.

kitsuné tabloid.

a few months back, i read about digitalism releasing a new mix.
i never really got the chance to listen to it, until the other night.
i was on a super Walmart adventure at 1am with my awesome friends (we needed some play-doh).
there were a few songs in the mix that really caught my attention.... so i found the mix and dissected it for my fave songs!! the beginning is more my vibe then the rest of the set, but you can be the judge of that.
here is the mix
zshare link part 1

jolie voight.
since i was little, ive always admired her performance and lifestyle. about 3 years ago i started learning more about her, and was blown away by what i found out.

angelina jolie's humanitarian work is absolutely remarkable. she first became aware of worldwide humanitarian crises when she was filming in Cambodia for her movie Tomb Raider. at that point, she took her concern further and became involved with the UNHCR. over the years, jolie has devoted a tremendous amount of time to volunteering in many countries like Chad, Kenya and even Syria (her main focus is Asia & Africa). jolie has won countless awards, and in 2001 was named the UNHCR goodwill ambassador, pretty legit! if you'd like to learn more about jolie's humanitarian work, click here.
after tons of research, i started to get involved with a few organizations. ive mentioned one of them before on my blog, but i'd like to share some links for refugee awareness. check them out, it never hurts to read and become a bit aware. also, there are some donation programs within the links listed, check them out! its always irked me that we never hear about these third world countries in the media....
UNHCR- The UN refugee agency
UNRWA- UN relief and works agency for Palestine refugees in the near east
Womens commission for refugee women and children
nine million- A UNHCR education and sports campaign
anyway, i just wanted to share my love for angelina. her character truly shines through her work! ive always been inspired by her diverse qualities and warm nature. fame and materialism clearly does not blind everyone, and she is a perfect example of this.
just because i love her so much, i have hundreds of high res pics that i've been meaning to share. for anyone that enjoys her physical beauty just as much as her inner beauty.... i have a present for you.

click HERE to download the entire folder, which includes over 200 high res pics.
peace & love.
