dj anthony pisano.

So, i've been spinning for a few years. I used to mainly just be a bedroom DJ, along with the occasional school party. I was heavily into scratching and DJing as an element. Overtime, i've become more comfortable on the decks, and now i spin at clubs. In my city, there aren't too many decent club nights. Miami itself is amazing, but im about 30 mins from that area, so it's not always reasonable to be down there so often. So w/e, to be social i would occasionally go out to the local college parties, which i hated. Im spoiled when it comes to music... if the DJ isn't right, i'll leave- honestly. Anyway, about a year ago i went to a spot (which im not that crazy about) only to hear a really sick DJ. When i hear good music, i always love letting the DJ know.. always always, trust me.. its a good feeling! So, i introduced myself to the dude spinning the tunes... and since then we've been buddies.

Ladies, I present to you.. DJ Anthony Pisano.

He let me know that he had an idea to start a local college night... you know, switch the scene up a bit. After a few months of hanging out with Anthony & his roommate, Tyler, we had an official Wednesday night party in Boca, REHAB. Without question, Anthony let me know that i would be opening for him.

Now theres something different in Boca. I honestly feel that the music is what makes a place successful, and it shows in our crowd.

This guy is constantly looking out for everyone and makes sure that everyone is always having a good time. Not only is he awesome on the tables, but he's a sweetheart, he's a genuine dude and is always doing the right thing. He's always been there for me when i've needed some extra comfort or motivating words. Last night at Rehab, Yumna & I realized how awesome he really is.... and it shouldn't go unnoticed. So, to Anthony... we love you and youre extremely appreciated!

Its awesome to work with good people. Thank you!!!

To all those that read my blog who aren't familiar with our party.... check out our Myspace page HERE... and also check out Anthony, HERE, who is also a resident DJ at Slims in Ft. Lauderdale on Friday nights.

Look out for us both in the South Florida area. Business is picking up, and we're for sure here to stay.

PS, check out my Myspace page (also ADD my music page).

Peace & Love.

fashion school, art school.

Ok , i have a couple fun things for this post. I've had a couple music related topics that i've wanted to discuss, so im just going to talk about them all here.

1. I started reading DJ SKEET SKEET's blog a day or so ago. It rules, check it out- he's dope!
Anyway, as i was browsing last night (when i probably should've been focusing on my studies), i came across a post about T2's track, heartbroken. Now, let me tell you a little something about this song.... Yumna and I dance better to it than anyone in the world. This is by far one of my favorite songs, and i dont care if everyone else hates it- i'll drop it forever and ever. Anyway.. we always play it and sing along, even to the mumbling words in the beginning (we've memorized the mumble). But, we've always wondered what the hell the mumble really is.
Now, thanks to Skeet's blog..... i know!

Here is the remixed T2- Heartbroken track.

Here is the Original Heartbroken track.

Fashion school art school fashion school art school. Now we can all sing along!

2. I've been bumping to this "rock out with your cock out" play list for a few days now, it rules.
There are a few hundred songs that i just love and always will, these are just a select few. As you can see, T2 is constantly in rotation.

As you can see, T2 is always in rotation, which brings me to #3.

3. Another track that is constantly bumping my speakers.

Lil Wayne- Pussy Money Weed

Im not a Wayne fanatic, nor am i a hater. I just love him for the fact that hes so out of his mind, and his words crack me up. Listen to this song (and download it HERE ) on repeat a couple times.. really listen to what he's saying, I guarantee you a chuckle or two. I started playing this for all of my friends, and they're hooked too.. hop on the wayne train!

Poor dude, hes definitely looking way older than 25.

But you're awesome!!

P.S: I told ya we're bringing back the slap on bracelets!

snake bracelets are cool too.

Peace & Love.

diamonddddddd.

Does it again, this time with girl skateboards.

For some reason, i absolutely adore this tee. They dropped last weekend @ the Diamond Supply Co. store. But, i hear that they'll be online for sale sometime soon, so i'm crossing my fingers. If not, oh well.. they are just nice to look at =).

Okay, i think im going to try and sleep now!

Peace & Love.

"you don't sound very sorry."

So i have a huge psychology test tomorrow, i thought it would be an awesome idea to kill a Venti Starbucks coffee at 10pm so i could successfully get my study on.
I think that explains why im still awake at 4am (I don't handle caffeine too well)...

I'm all studied out for the evening, so i decided to watch some funny vids.
I've seen this one before, but i had to watch it again.
Im planning on living in Australia for 6 months this time next year..

I really hope to hang out with this kid so he can show me where he bought his sunglasses.

What do you think about his crazy party antics?
Or better yet, what do you think about his "glauuuces?"

Peace & Love.

sticky appreciation post.

My biffle (Yumna) & I have a shared obsession for OS X's lovely STICKY application. All of my Apple co-workers question my love for stickies when they see me constantly using them, i don't understand how one could NOT use them. I love them so much that they are even in my dock! (As you can see, i only have a few apps in my dock... which means stickies are pretty exclusive) I used to use them all the time, but then it got really messy.. and i kinda stopped. When i saw that Yumna also uses stickies, i was tempted to start up again...
oh how i love my color coordinated organization.

They never get the Apple-Q, everrrrrrrrrrrrr.

So, to all those that have Macs.. i encourage you to USE YOUR STICKIES!!!
They'll keep you organized.

Just wait for my post about hot corners.....
Apple, thank you for enriching my life.

Edit:
While i'm on the subject of awesome Apple stuff.. Happy b-day Steve (he turned 53 yesterday)!!
And, tomorrow is yet another awesome Tuesday for Apple..
hmmmm.

what a daft automobile.

This electrical car is priced at $60,000.

Could this really be the car of the future?
Really, like... really???

If i saw this driving down the street, i dont think i'd know how to react.

my e-life.

Ive realized that i'm an internet geek.
I've always sat on my computer for hours on end... since middle school.
We had these computers that we used at school, they were made of rubber and had internet explorer, notepad & Word on them. I think i was one of the only kids who actually used this thing at home.. I would wait until my mom would go to sleep so i could plug the Ethernet cable in...
And thats where it all began.

My passion for things like Nike & Music (DJing) began. The internet has been my greatest resource growing up- and it's really starting to get my name out there. I had awesome friends in high school, but i loved coming home and browsing the net and doing music stuff. A few years ago I was posting all over Nike sites like Niketalk & ISS... my posting took me somewhere! I was featured in the magazine Sole Collector and was lucky enough to write an article for them too. I even got a chance to compete in a national sneaker event. Now, im utilizing the webz to promote my music career and honestly, just have a good time (like usual).
Its funny that this is my hobby, the internet, yup.

I always wonder what our generation will be known for, but im pretty sure its going to be the internet revolution decade.

Anyway, ... i've been on all kinds of forums: Nike (Hi Niketalkers ;] ), DJ/ Hip hop element, politics, art/photography, Apple, cars, fashion... ah, theres just so much!! So, now that i finally have my own blog, i just want to blog about everything i've giggled at on the web.. along with other cool stuff that i've liked over the years. So, i've decided to just blog about it no matter how old it is or if you've seen it already.

Starting with this post... I really love crop circles!!!! Don't they just look awesome?

Although crop circles are man made, I love reading about all the crazy alien-like stories.
If there was some kind of agriculturally obsessed alien that made crop circles, i think he'd look like Ed from Men in Black.

Farmer alien!

dance or die.

I dont care how old it is.. i'm still bumping to this song and watching the video constantly.
This is the TEPR remix.

This track is actually a cover of a song from 1987 by an artist also named Yelle.

YELLE is doing in big, she rocks. I'm stoked on the fact that this song is blowing up.
I hosted a few remixes of it.

i love you.

bfast @ kidrobot.

I wonder if its going to be like the Disney character breakfast, where you can meet and greet your fave characters while enjoying some good ol' froot loops. I loved this when i was a kid...

i still love it.. i need to go to Magic Kingdom ASAP and go on my favorite ride, it's a small world.

Just imagine, life sized smorkin' toast? Now, that would be cool...

PS: Thanks, Gabe!!! (check out his blog)

PPS: I'm at home on a Friday night jamming to Somewhere Over the Rainbow- Brother Iz (zshare), i hope this song makes you as happy as it makes me!
Enjoy the free download.

iPatch.

Yesterday was quite a day, to say the least.
After I DJed on Wednesday night, i injured my eye with my DJ equipment, true story. I was hoping that the following morning my eye would be feeling better, but nope =(. Everything was pretty cloudy and the entire right side of my head was aching. After ditching an exam and telling my manager i was only 1/2 useful, i went to my eye doctor appointment. I severely scratched my cornea,
ouch.

My eye doctor constructed a nice little eye patch for me to rock so my eye would heal, along with some killer antibiotic eye drops.

Did you know that the cornea is the fastest healing tissue in the human body?

The rest of my day consisted of me bashing into walls and knocking things down.
My friends
Yumna and Derek came by and brought me some comforting toys, including a care bear complete with flower eye patch.
My patch wasn't cute enough, so they sassed it up a bit with their signatures and some glitter.

I think i should write to Steve Jobs and let him know about my fab iPatch.

(too bad you can't see the gold glitter)

On my way home from the eye doctor, i realized how difficult it really is operating with only one eye. It was quite worrying driving on the 95 during rush hour at 30mph in the rain, i dont suggest you try it. My perception on everything for the rest of the day was a bit off, i kept getting really frustrated. I'm beyond thankful to have all of my senses fully functioning. You don't realize what you have until its gone, right? I
ts crazy how little things like this can really alter one's conception on well.. everything.

Oh oh ohhh! This was totally cool. At first i thought i was just seeing weird stuff because my eyes were all confused.. but no.. this was real. On my way home from my eye doctor, look what i saw...

Yup, that's a car with pennies super glued to its butt (on both sides too!).

Peace & Love.

youre not cool just bc you have 3 usb ports.

Ok, internal dvd drive & Ethernet port, i'll give you that much.
But, nothing would ever let me trade in OS X. Sorry ;)
"Soft touch finish." Lmfao. That thing is not appealing to the human eye, it looks ancient.
Why don't people understand marketing?

Heres a random thought:
I always wonder... what's going to happen after we pass OS 10 and we have to go to 11?
.. OSXi?
Coooool.

these are always fun.

So, im sitting in my psychology class... and my professor just played 6 minutes of optical illusions. My professor is such a dork, he even put on weird sci-fi music while we were watching, lol. Anyway, when im bored online.. i always find cool stuff- and i LOVE optical illusions. Here are a few popular illusions, enjoy! Post some of your own too.. i'd like to see some new ones.

Stare at the four dots in the center of ths picture for about 30 seconds. Try not to blink. Then lean back, look at the ceiling or a white wall and blink your eyes a few times.
What do you see?

Got Jesus?

They are not moving.

Who do you see?

An old lady, or a young one?

These are just cool.

Ok, what the heck are those things called where they are just a bunch of colors and consistent patterns, but when you focus...you can see an image? There are books of them. I used to do them all the time, but im totally having a brain freeze right now. I'll paypal $1 to the person who can name them first!

P.S: If you're bored, this is a really awesome site for fun illusions, this one too.

Lol, now hes talking about hallucinogens.

90's memory #2.

Doug Funny.

I always find myself singing the Doug theme song. Recently i've been singing it at work ,when im bored,showering... or just chilling. I honestly believe that Doug Funny's theme song is my life theme song. It could have something to do with me dressing up as Quail-man for Halloween one year, maybe ive inherited his life, yay!!
Skeeter & Patty, ilusm !!!!

So, next...
slap-on bracelets.
need i say more?

Yumna and i are bringing them back.

And finally, the 90's song pick for the week.
Missing- Everything But The Girl (zshare).
My dad LOVES this song. I remember we'd always alwaysssssss listen to it in his car.

Step off the train...

Peace & Love.

ain't this the truth.

Well, it's half true (for me at least).
Other parts of this video are quite laughable.
Gosh, PC users hate "us"...
Love ya, Steve!

daft who?

Photobucket

I knew that all the hype blogs would talk about kanyeXdaftpunk at the Grammys. Its cool that a lot of people are getting into their music because of their recent collab with Mr.west. A lot of fans who have been into DP for a while bitch and complain that all their new fans arent "real" fans. I say, props to Thomas and Guy-Manuel for using their marketing skills to put their music on the map (although, most of their music is just edited 70s music). I didn't want to jump on the bandwagon, but i just wanted to say that for their first live televised show in over a decade...it was dope & i'll always love those silly robots, thats all!

oh and,
Edit. The rumors are true, confirmed by brian savage.
This dude has been mistaken for Thomas Bangalter online, its a dopeeee track.

banksy.

One of my favorite artists. You truly need to purchase this man's book here.

He's a genius.

"people say graffiti is ugly, irresponsible and childish.... but thats only if it's done properly"

I honestly can't describe how much i love this guy. He takes normal looking things and changes them to be something completely different.

Everything has a message, everything is art. He travels all over the world to spread his ideas and thoughts through his art.

Banksy on the Palestinian segregation wall

Once you begin to understand his messages, you'll also find most of his art ironically humorous....

this piece is entitled "media"

For this set, he literally wore a painters suit and painted the city with these stencils in broad daylight.

My favorite part about his book is when he talks about installing his very own work in 4 New York museums (for shits and giggles).

After he talks about placing his art in the museums, complete with a name plate and description, he then discusses how you don't have to have your art up in high end museums to be considered an artist. Clearly, anyone can do it ;) !

90's memory #1.

So yea, i'm an 80's baby. However, i totally grew up in the 90's... and im down proud. From Tamagotchi's and pogs to Legends of the Hidden Temple and Nickelodeon's slime machine... I LOVE THE 90S!!!! So, i've decided to dedicate a weekly post to something awesome from my amazing childhood decade. So, let's start it off =)

The Fifth Element
Circa '97.

I always loved this movie. I was obsessed with the song that the weird blue alien would sing. So much that i've decided to edit it up to my favorite part, and host it for everyone to download. Its AWESOME!!
